Crochet Jewelry

by jennine on May 17, 2007

My grandmother taught me how to crochet. She lived out in Bullhead City, Arizona, and back in the 80′s there wasn’t much there but tumbleweed. Crochet is fun, it passed the time, but if you have a short attention span, it’s hard to make something too useful, like an afghan or a scarf. I usually ended up making hair ties with pom-poms. Good lord. Anyway, Worship Worthy’s Saint Marina purchased handmade crocheted jewelery, by Arielle de Pinto. She says: it’s been surprisingly effortless to make up excuses to wear it since outfit integration is simple- with a pretty dress, over a ratty t-shirt, or displayed with a basic tank. I can see why. Part scarf, part bling. I don’t’ know why this hasn’t been thought of before, the idea is brilliant and beautiful.

dePinto’s pieces are available at No.6 Store and online at
A website is coming soon:
(it’s things like this that make me I wish I lived in NYC… for a second.)
