Last night on my way home, I stopped in my local thrift shoppe, Out of the Closet, and picked up a few items on the cheap… one of them being a striped tie. I immediately wanted to play dress up, like a sexed up Annie Hall or something…
Since beginning my new blog The Poste Office, I’ve been looking at men’s clothing in a different light. I really love the idea of mixing stripes and colors, and learning a whole new logic to dressing. I also realized, I had no idea how to tie a tie, but I just remembered seeing it done on TV or the movies or someplace, so I just guessed. It’s really strange how wearing a tie and a vest can change the way you feel, but that’s exactly what it did for me. I don’t know why exactly, perhaps the way a pair of super high heels changes, or red lipstick changes the way you feel. There is a lot of emotional power in attire. Even if it’s for play.
Oh! You can learn how to tie a tie here.

LOVE this Outfit!
what’s amazing is how great you look in men’s wear. those are some really hot shots. nice. i’m enjoying your new blog. i like the female’s perspective. it might be just the thing to move me from “well done” to “hot damn!”
thank you for your lovely comments! it was so much fun going out on the roof to take photos!
william… i’m really glad you’re also enjoying the poste office… it’s definitely unchartered territory for me!

It looks great! I’m thinking about doing a dress up with my dad’s clothing for a while now! I know, it should be boyfriend instead, but he only has jeans and t-shirts so that’s boring:)
I can’t wait to wear a huge blazer…yeah, I will def. do it, in the category of “I would never…”
Lovely tie by the way. I’m sure my dad must have some interesting ones too. )
That is a really sexy combination. I love your style!
hot girl in great outfit
I love the touch of pink lipstick
It’s a great hint of uber-femininity.
Were these taken with the new camera? If so, which did you get again, and how are you liking it? I’ve been wanting to pick up a little point-and-shoot that I can carry around with me (must fit in a clutch with cell phone and keys), as the DSLR is so big and cumbersome. The quality of the images is great!
Oooh yeah. Love the tie and vest look. It’s great in winter too, especially with high waisted pants. Great look.
great legs j! are these self portraits? because I adore them all…
This is a GREAT LOOK. have always loved the tie detail on outfits, but have not really been able to pull it off myself without looking entirely like a boy hehe
