Last week when I posted about my inner ‘red balloon‘… I wasn’t sure if it was a fashion related post. Is it merely my perception, or are there a growing number of balloons that aren’t just for kids? Last summer on SHOWstudio, Gareth Pugh, contributing editor, submitted a balloon pattern for FASH-OFF… where people sewed their own balloons. I thought it was a lovely idea, particularly with the images of the Red Balloon guiding me through the streets of Paris. It made me kind of wish I could sew, and make my own balloon out some of the silk scarves that keep having babies (more scarves) in the scarf drawer. What kind balloon would you make?
