Today’s Attire : Shiny Dancer

Ah, lovely Saturday. I spent the day washing clothes, and realizing that ALL of my clothes can’t be clean at once, because the laundry bin also holds clothes. Yikes. Last night I was watching a documentary on the ballet, and I tell you, aside from wanting to be a ballerina as a little girl, I haven’t given those muscelley dances any too much thought. But they are beautiful, I have no idea what the dancing means, but it’s a lovely vision. Today, I’ve decided to dress up as a ballerina, with my white tule skirt and sequins and bling. An army jacket off-sets the girlyness, so I don’t feel too much like I belong in a box on top a chest of drawers.

  1. jennine,

this is really nice. it just makes me smile. i think its because i’ve spent the last couple of years watching my now 4 year old daughter dance and twirl around around the house, the grocery store, the mall, etc. and its not just that she’s a little girl, but that she loves it, and i hope she always does. she loves fashion too. i hope she will be able to keep that. its nice that you have.
