Last night was the opening of Here und Dort, an exhibition the Mina Dresden Gallery. It is a collaboration of the Thin Ice Collective and a a selection of German and Russian Artists. I say it was really cool to visit this show, and I’ll post more pics later, but for now, I tell you the real reason I went was to meet Serena Cole, I had interviewed here back in May, and I haven’t seen her work in person since. She creates these mythic portraits based on photos of fashion models. I tell you, it was incredible, the piece titled The Gilded Throne, was just incredible, the gold-leafing on paper, the delicate pencil drawing and the pressed flowers. It is just such a rich and stunning piece of art. Unfortunately, I arrived early, before anyone else, so I didn’t get to meet her in person. I’m pretty sad about that! Next time…
Incredible piece!
you inspired me to start my own fashion blog. I just wanted to say thank you.

arientte! good luck with your new blog!
; )
that pic is so eye-catching and awesome. Its like a version of a darker more oriental Marie Antoinette.
p.s. hope you can drop by my blog sometime!
There is something crisp and eerie about this work. thanks for sharing it and thanks for coming by my blog.
Stunning! There are just some artists that use light, metallic and iridescent paint in such a mesmerizing way. It’s eerily beautiful in a way.
That’s beautiful!
