My love for behind the scenes action….This is the first real fashion week season, I’ve paid any real attention to. I’m so impressed by the amounts of . It’ s a mess of models in clothes projecting trends that haven’t really occurred yet. A glimpse into the future, perhaps. I don’t really know how to keep up. So I just take it easy, and look for what I like, and what I can relate to.

One photographer that stands out in all this, is Sonny Vandevelde. I’ve been noticing him on Hint and A Shaded View on Fashion. He really has a talent for relaying the sense of excitement and sexiness to the whole fashion week thing. And I might add, in a completely non-pretentious way. Everything is crisp, vivid, and a whole lot of fun… which is the point of fashion after all, isn’t it? *I get it…

Hi There, aaaah, what a day, such a long, hard, exhausting day, was feeling really tired and ..well you know, over it, like I need a break , a holiday…you know when you that feeling you could just throw it all away, and not deal with it. But then it’s emails/comments from some one like your self that just pulls me right up again. So much effort goes into covering fashion week, all the hassles, pressure and dealing with PR, ugh, hard work, draining my batteries, so thanks, really needed that little pat on the back ( note to others feel free to do the same, good for re-charging those batteries of mine )Seriuosly, thanks, nice to know i’m being appreciated

  2. Sonny, thanks so much for leaving such a thoughtful comment… good imagery makes all the difference… perhaps we’re so used to it, no one notices except when it’s not there.

  3. I saw Sonny leave a comment on Diane P’s blog about a photo of Waris, whose jewelry I love. I think Sonny is pretty great too. Thanks Jennine for covering photographers, it’s something that gets neglected when we just look at the images, and forget there is a creative brain behind all those luscious pictures.
    Sonny - Would love to put some of your stuff on my blog also!
