Over the weekend, I found a chunky 80′s sweater. It’s just really not like anything I see people wearing around… it’s a strange feeling between comfort in the chunkiness of the sweater and vulnerability because it’s not so conventional and I’m not used to oversized shoulders. I have this pared with a long sleeve heather grey t-shirt, wide quilted belt, pencil skirt and booties. I’ve even worn this with a super short jersey mini-skirt, and knee-high boots. A large sweater like this can go with anything snug on the bottom, ie. skinny jeans.

You look gorgeous and cozy. But now I’m craving one of your old-fashioned smiley photos
It’s gorgeous, a little Giles. And the bigger the shoulders the better…
So did you find it second hand?
wendy! maybe i will smile!
hehe thanks love… i’ve been a little tired lately, but i’ll try to smile!
discotheque-yes, i did, at my favorite second hand shop, painted bird.
oh dear, I think we are wearing the same outfit! good thing you live so far away.
the oversized shouldres thing i understand. i feel the same wearing victorian necks… nobody around here does. Though last time I wore my favourite somebody said they loved it because it was so balls-y.
it seems your wardrobe doesn’t match your climate zone…that knit woul do very well in New York
hahaha…i wish i lived in new york… but no…you are right.. i can only pretend.
Geeeez! You look so stunning in this picture. Your face is gorgeous
thanks bb! you are so lovely!
I love the sweater! I bought a similar 80s sweater in white a couple months ago. It hasn’t been cold enough to wear it yet but I started to get concerned that is was too strange. Seeing you wear one though bolsters me up. Once it’s below 75 degrees I’ll give it a try.
