Every year my work has a holiday party, and it’s another excuse to dress up… Two years ago, I wore a red strapless dress, last year, a black ruffly dress, and this year, well… I want to go vintage. Not that I want to wear any of these dresses to my work party… oh dear… but I did come across these morsels on eBay… save one, the nude colored dress, that’s from Coveted reader, Covetous in Cambridge. eBay is evil for these reasons. Either I don’t know how to buy clothes in auction, will they fit? I don’t have the money at the time… or I get outbid. OR I absolutely love it, and can’t imagine life without it, and it’s not my size, not even if I stop eating for the rest of the year.
eBay is EVIL.

I love all your picks, and they all complement each other!
I love the details on the nude leather dress! It might be worth the risk.
that is precisely why i choose not to scower eBay. what if it doesn’t fit? what if it looks different or has a tear?
I would not recommend buying any clothes off ebay, one can’t return items, in most cases. Better off at a online store with a compact return and privacy policy :8}
some of my favorite things are from eBay - i just make sure i get measurements of bust, waist, hip and length (and sometimes shoulders) for clothing and always length and width for shoes. it also helps to rack up some eBay experience to locate reliable sellers. California Vintage Connect is absolutely the best customer service i’ve ever had period. Indie Cult Vintage has great picks and Carrier Pigeon Vintage has only a few offerings but they are often remarkable.
