I used to live with my jump-rope wrapped in my hands. A few months ago, I tried it again, and it’s much harder to do as an adult, that’s for certain. Much harder. Rope, it’s not something you see much as an adult. Unless you are a member of the yacht club, or Cornelia Parker, who cleverly wrapped a mile of rope around a Rodin sculpture. It’s not enough to call a trend, but there are enough dots to connect a rope revival… Both Benjamin Cho, and Emma Cook used the giant threads to play a part in their collection. I really love the idea of playing with such a utilitarian object, making it beautiful.

I absolutely loved Cho’s collection…Emma Cook’s was not my fave but I’ll forgive her because she’s busy with her newborn baby…. I expect her to get back up to form next season!
I will definitely be trying things out with rope detailing…
I’m loving this twist on the riviera trend for next season. LLG xx
Cho’s collection is absolutely beautiful and very subtle
I love the colored rope details on the orange one-piece! It makes me think of kitschy little vintage beach souvenirs for some reason.
Hee, I just bought a rope dress from charity:D
Cho’s collection was fabulous, and I do quite like Cook’s as well! The bright colours of the swimsuit are jumping out at me.
