One of the problems I have with pumps is the odd size of my feet. I’m between a 7 and a 7.5 so 7.5’s are too big and slip off easily and 7’s are slightly too small. It’s a pain being unique. So thank god for ankle straps and cuffs and bits and bobs to secure your feet to your shoe.
This lovely pump has a bit of everything, a sculpted wooden heel, ankle cuff, peeptoe. Ellen Verbeek shoes available at Seattle boutique, Lambsear. I wish I could be there.

This is so clever! And I feel your pain given that one foot is close to being an 8 and the other is strictly a 7.5.
Me too, Ambika — I always have to ask for both 7.5 and 8 when I try on shoes. Somehow shoes that come in 38s seem to fit me best, which is weird because they’re basically the same thing, right?
I do love straps and such because honestly, shoes need to stay on my feet and I’m always afraid I’ll walk right out of them! I really like this shoe — what a great shape and material for the heel, and the cuff is such a cool addition.
I thought I was the only one with different sized feet! It’s only a 1/2 size but it’s very annoying when one shoe is looser than the other. If only shop assistants were allowed to let us buy the right size for each foot…mind you, the shoes would then be different sizes and look a bit funny. What a conundrum.
