House of Organic FW Part Two

It’s stunning how many amazing designers are latching onto sustainable fashion. Not just because it’s the ‘right’ thing to do, but also because historically, the best design (and art) have come from adhering to sets of principles and ideologies. Here’s the second part of the House of Organic show at NYFW… This is Ekovaruhuset collection.

I was designing and making clothes for as long as I can remember. I always enjoyed this a lot, but it was a few years ago when I first started using only organic materials and opened Ekovaruhuset in Stockholm that it got really exciting.[...]

At Ekovaruhuset all the clothes you will find are made the natural way, using all organic materials. This means the fibers that the fabrics are made of have been grown without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides and made into fabric, then dyed in facilities that are environmentally responsible.

i like what i’m seeing here with the cutout details and stuff, though i would like to see them have a more cohesive aesthetic.
