I’ll never forget my first trip to Rome. My good friend from college, and native Roman, showed me all the little places she loved to shop. It was really amazing, and the most impressive feat was when she found a pair of second hand Jimmy Choo stilettos for 30Euros at the Puglia Mercato di Lecce where she also buys her tomatoes.
I have to say I’m loving Italian eBay. Mostly for their small, but lovely vintage section. As some of you may know, I’ve been having issues finding good vintage clothing locally. I meant to go to the flea market Saturday, but it rained. So I spent a good part of the weekend going through eBay. Frustrated, and curious, I started going through the various countries to see what clothing they may have… thinking key words like “dress” may not come up in a country where the word for dress is robe or vestito.
Sport E Vintage has a darling selection of vintage dresses from the 60’s and 70’s with the most amazing prints, including some beautiful 60’s floral prints…
« Today’s Attire : Repetition | Green, Legs & Kamm »Then, there’s the polka dot raincoat for the next time it rains at the flea market…
I never thought of browsing eBay in other countries before (well, besides the US and UK). Italy’s vintage section looks very choice. As far as I have seen, they don’t have so much random garbage.

Those are lovely…. must really expand my eBay horizons!
