Pristine Smut

Pristine SmutQuite honestly, I don’t know if there is a cooler name than Pristine Smut. And these fine women coined it, Pristine Smut, a pair of Central St. Matins grads who have teamed their talents to create beautifully designed knitwear jewelry. Liria Pristine, knitwear designer embraces the experimental qualities of her medium. Rosie Kent, creates the jewels, her trademark Smutlane uses the motif of golden legs akimbo makes beautiful what is normally considered vulgar.

Each piece bears the name of a diva, Aretha, Ella, Cher. In fact collection is an homage to women in the jazz age, the women who smoked and danced the night away… the controversial ones modern women relate to:
Our debut collection draws from the 1920s, the age of jazz, intolerance, and of Wonderful Nonsense, it displays vulgarity in a modest fashion, modern pleasures in an elegant light. Our ladies mirror the ‘garconne’ who smoked with a long cigarette holder, wore make up and applied it in public, , exposed her limbs and epitomized the spirit of a reckless rebel who danced the nights away in the jazz age.
