*it would be lovely, but my adult life won’t allow for it.
My entire life, I’ve wanted a canopy bed. Maybe it’s my inner princess? I remember dreaming that one day I’d have this magnificent bed, you know, “When I grow up”. As far as fancy beds go, I must say, fancy beds go in the same category as eating dessert for dinner (which I do sometimes). Something that sounds like a good idea until reality sets in. The microscopic apartment. Your partner is a design purist. The cats will tear town the netting in 5 minutes flat. Oy vey.
My taste in furniture goes more along the lines of Danish Mid-Century, but there is a the side that loves girly, fairy-tale furniture. And I’m happy to see artists creating such visions not for play or for movie sets, but for real. Shawn Lowell, San Francisco Bay Area metalworker creates often one-of-a-kind metal pieces.
Oddly enough, when I saw bed, I knew I love it, but I thought Rocky wouldn’t, he does. It surprised me that he also had this bed on his hard drive… it’s like a canopy/pod with pixel clouds. More along the lines of a 21st century princess in a pixelated capsule? I can live with that.
