What are we going to do with all these bows? Flowers, ruffles, lace… as Susie Bubble likes to put it Lulasim. While it’s lovely to see soft-focus pictures of young women with the sunlight hitting their long hair just-so, I seriously can’t go anywhere near this kind of girlie affliction unless there’s something more sinister mixed in there. I just can’t do it, I feel more authentic wearing a chicken suit.
Nice, but naughty enough.
Enter LouLou Loves You! a UK knicker designer turn bow master. The knickers are sweet and ginghamy… with a rockabilly twist. Nice, but naughty enough. Corresponding bows (£12) can be worn as a barrette or a brooch, they don’t have to be worn as an entire ensemble.. but hey, wearing the bows might give the boy something to think about…

I’m sticking to boob and butt bows.
The top image is beautiful.
I’ve always loved tie-front tops and bows at the neck. But I’m with you Jennine, I prefer bows worn with something edgier, to lessen the grown-up little girl effect. In the hair? Um, kinda Lolita-ish, no?
Oh I am looking forward to bows being everywhere. And I also agree with you and Kezia, cutesy aint cute when your older than 14. The contrast of edgy and sweet is always good.
Ah…the cheaper, more affordable version of Alexis Mabille…yes!
I think nearly anyone could rock a black satin bow.
That top look is totally me! I think I may have to arrange that outfit for the Mr.’s return from holidays.
I have been wearing old mens bowties in my hair and on necklaces for a while…I love vintage bows.
oh wow! that’s such a great idea! going to be on the lookout for that.
Thank-you everyone! xx
