Oh Mother of Pearl, so semi-precious in you soft focus world… Ah, one of my favorite songs by Roxy Music comes to mind whenever I see these lovely images from Swedish Blogger (just 16!) Arvida Bystrom… it’s a glimpse into the world of the artist teen, where everything and everyone is glistening with pristine beauty. She’s also really great at finding amazing artists and showing her favorite photographers, and poetry. It’s so inspiring.
In case you were wondering what song I was talking about, or if you just wanted to hear it again. Bryan Ferry is just so amazing.

Dear lord….everyone is just so bloody talented and so young too…. where did my youth go? Playing in arcades and eating too many Woolworth’s penny sweets I tells ya…
i know… actually, i was quite a prolific 16 year old, but i lacked the confidence to show anyone… and yeah, typically, i was a bit more moody and less focused.
oooh that image makes me want to get married. and i LOVE Roxy Music. forever.
excuse me while i go get married…
Roxy music forever!
sweet! i’m glad i’m not the only one who still loves roxy music!
Oh. That song that song was THE song. Favorite memory: 15 or so of us on liguid LSD at some small college in New England, 1979, all singing this song together, everyone knowing every single word, nothing but huge smiles around the words, the song. Big love Bryan Ferry.
