I have never grown out of tea parties. They are so lovely, with my favorite things, tea, cookies, sandwiches, great conversations… Having a nice afternoon tea is not only luxurious, but I find that they tend to be more real than doing the bar thing, which I’ve never really been good at.
I found these beautiful lot of vintage tea gloves at Dapple Design and instantly knew I had to have them. What I’m going to do with these, I’m not really sure yet… perhaps I’ll have to have a tea party?

Oooh these are so cute, I particularly like the ones with the polka dots…but more importantly! where is that amazing bow ring from? it looks like the one on my Betsey watch xo
and @Poochie, yey! bloggers tea in London YES PLEASE
I am *so* drawn to gloves at antique malls & thrift shops, especially the crocheted ones in white.
Gorgeous! They’re so pretty! I have a problem with gloves though - I have tiny hands so its really hard to find ones that fit
Can I still come to your tea party if I don’t have pretty tea gloves?
ooh, love the polka dots! I’d love to see you work these into your daily wardrobe somehow…
How funny — I’m just finishing up a bow-tie ring.
poochie and loulou we MUST do a tea…london would be perfect, perhaps a lovely afternoon in maida vale?
miss milki, of course you can come! i’ve always had a problem with my hands being too big… so it was a good catch to find ones mysize.
shay… of course, the wheels are turning
wendy! i hope to see this ring when it comes out, you have all these new goodies in your shop!
So pretty! I especially love the polka dotted ones. I’m regrettably REALLY good at doing the bar thing, but I love tea parties too and my favorite thing is being able to wear big fancy hats. I’ll have to try some gloves next time, too!
Me and one of my friends have tea parties occasionally. We don’t get dressed up but we make cupcakes and cucumber sandwiches.
I love the polka dot gloves!
I almost got the kenneth lane bow belt
Im addicted to his line of belts.
bows are delish, and on top of gloves, : ) looks great. I have my
pretty’ bike riding gloves and they look flirty. ah yes!
I’ll take my scotch on the rocks - you were talking about scotch weren’t you, because that’s the only tea coloured drink I like?
Do you really need a reason to buy gloves and drink tea! So adorable. My hands are huge, so gloves and I rarely meet. Where is that bow ring from?… love it!
Oooh yes! Do want! I am quite envious indeed! Such lovely gloves, especially the pair with the spots
Oh, and I take milk with my earl grey
Oh, pleeease tell me where you got the adorable ring.
