One of the toughest things bout holiday shopping is resisting the ’shopping for myself’ yeah, yeah, January Sales are around the corner… buutt with a little cash in pocket from Santa and…
Finding reasonably priced mid-market shoes are really difficult. I’ve recently gotten to love Jeffrey Campbell since my white tri-strap shoes are so comfortable and held up through tons of wear. Pour La Victoire is another of those mid-market secrets, they’ve gotten really good ratings on Zappos, and I like the fact they are made with leather upper, lining and sole, call me a snob, but I won’t buy synthetic shoes, I just won’t, no matter how poor I get.
Gilt Groupe is having a great sale on Pour La Vicotoire, from now until 12/12 at 11:59PM EST. Many of the shoes are half of what you would even find on Zappos, and they even have boots!
If you’re not a member of Gilt, it’s worth signing up, especially if you’re a bargain hunter like me. It’s not one of those sale warehouses that have higher prices for stuff that’s three seasons out of the stores and still not as good as the sales.

argh… i know. i was debating whether to get the mary janes in navy or the oxfords in black and white…
I WANT THEM ALL.
I totally one of those shoppers that goes me me me.. oh and one for you.. me me me …me and one for you. Its so hard during the holiday season. I wish I didn’t love shopping so much, oh who am I kidding I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t love shopping so much. HAHAHA! Thanks for the tips on the different sites.
I deal with shoes everyday and I know exactly what you mean - the cheap shoes are just crap and then the expensive ones are simply out of my budget.
Some of my other favorite mid-market brands:
Report Signature
Max Studio
Dolce Vita
Marciano
Boutique 9
❤ mp ooh my… i’ve been thinking of the black shoe-boots, i have black and white ones, so this would make me complete.
❤ alix…heheh thanks for telling me, i thought i was the only one
❤ lindsay… thank you so much for that list, i like boutique 9 and dolce vita quite a lot… and i had a time where i spent a lot of money on shoes, and they still get worn through, so finding a balance is really the key.
Jennine & Lindsay, I definitely have that issues, especially with Dolce Vita! My favorite black flats were from them, and in less than a year the soles had heels in them, and I had only worn them 2-3x a week!
I am shocked over these prices — the shoes look so expensive! Thanks for the tip!
Pretty pretty! x
I love the black patent booties.. and Gilt is so handy! You never know what you might find there!
xx-LJ from SOS!
The $128 shoes are being sold in a lil knock off shoe shop near my school for about $25. I didn’t even realize they might be brand name til now. Hehe.
I style our shoots almost exclusively with Pour la Victoire shoes ~ I get emails daily asking who makes the shoes and are they available for sale etc. They’re irresistible! I’m signing up now for Gilt!!
Gilt is one of the limited sales stores that I don’t belong to. Can someone send me an invite?
I’m a big Rue La La fan.
❤ ashe… oh no! really? hmmm… that would really blow, i wish my favorite shoes would last forever
❤ tara… sweet!
❤ Lulu…oh wow $25? that’s so cheap!
❤violetville, excellent! so glad to have you vouch for these shoes, i’ve never heard of them before, and it was cool to see such great reviews on such a cool product.
❤ sandra, i just sent!
I know exactly what you are talking about!
After all you should spoil yourself from time to time! I will mb with the shoes in the first pic
But I also think that one should buy at least one Xmas presi (or more like ten) for oneself
yah i wont do synthetic uppers, not out of snobbery, but because its not comfortable. i dont care if the sole is leather, because depending on their value i get them “pre” soled anyway.
when it comes to buying heels its been nine west or kenneth cole new york.
i never heard of pour le victorie, but i will check out.
It’s been *so* hard not to shop for myself! We’re even planning a trip to Portland where I’m sure we’ll do some shopping (tax free, naturally) for January & it’s still impossible to resist.
I’ll definitely check out the shoes-synthetic materials make my feet cry.
