Ever since Scarlet got all dolled up in her curtains, wearing curtains have teetered the line between comedy and desire. Oh my, as a child I’d always pull the drapes and make myself out to be like i was wearing a gown, my grandmother even had beaded curtains, that was the best. What I want to know is why the windows get all the fun? Who needs privacy anyway? I mean with the internet around, we can throw that idea out the… eh… window.
Canadian boutique Reborn, stocks loads of designers like Alexander Wang, Acne, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, and emerging designers like Complex Geometries and Sharon Wauchob… yet there seems to be a recurring theme in the shop where everything has a drapey-abstract-quality. Like all these designers conspired together to bring Scarlet back, so she can be born again.
On a side note: I couldn’t resist posting the mini-trench… love it so much! Maybe I can go from playing Gone with the Wind to Inspector Gadget…
Who knows?

I often think that our comfy, fluffy-esque, thick blue comforter would make a fab gown if cut/sewn just right. And it would be so comfy. But I need it to stay as my comforter, and when I want a new color, I’m going to custom order a romantic duvet. Hehe.
love the draping! it is so stylish, yet so very comfortable…!
That drape-back dress is my fave … super sexy without being TOO revealing.
Reborn is one of my favourite online shops, and I’m contemplating buying one of those complex geometries t-shirts.

I love a interesting collar on a jacket, and this mini trench is to die for!
I think of drapery as big, bold, strokes of paint on a canvas; so artistic, so fluid, awesome movement.
Thank you for featuring these!

I always feel so cozy and chic in drape-y clothing. There’s something universally flattering and expensive looking about it.
That’s Amazing, I never would have thought of doing that!
