Last year I dug this blazer out of a pile of clothes on a flea market trip with Jessica of Shiny Squirrel. It’s been in my closet, and I’ve worn it from time to time, but I don’t think I’ve shown it to you. My husband says it looks like an early 90’s cleaning ladies jacket, but I still love it anyway…
Over the weekend, I was pretty sick, exhausted, just plain burnt out. So I layed in bed watching Big Love, and it’s pretty hard not to watch the show and not get enchanted with prairie florals and soft colors. Ok, so the people who wear them are a little crazy, but I’ve never fallen much into the sane category either. Either way, today I’ve pulled out the old blazer and worn it with denim shorts much inspired by Chloe Sevigny. I guess since she’s my age, though my legs aren’t half as nice as hers, it’s quite liberating to not worry so much about whether a woman in her mid-30’s can wear cut off shorts during summer…

Oh, that jacket’s so Eighties!
I never buy this sort of stuff to stock my website but I have to admit it looks real good on you. Great find!
So pretty, I like the faded print.

LOL at early 90’s cleaning ladies jacket…men just don’t understand! i love it, i had a very brightly patterned jacket nearly exactly like that in the 80’s (with sleeves rolled up and everything), in addition to a light denim-y Guess jacket i wore with my tapered/zipper-at-the-bottom Guess jeans. ah…the things i could pull-off back then…
you look wonderful! and yay for women in their 30’s wearing cut-off denim shorts

❤ grechen, haha, i miss my denim jackets, like i had so many, what happened to them? i don’t know, but i really miss them. guess jeans, i love those too! though we were too poor for them, so i had palmettos and bongo jeans. ha!
those were the days….
I had leggings (American “tights”) in that print from Laura Ashley and paired them with a denim shirt in the 90’s.
Which is sort of a reverse of your outfit. It suits you, but I’m glad I chucked those leggings I couldn’t do it again

Definitely an interesting way of incorporating florals into your wardrobe. I was just watching a fashion makeover program where the stylist paired a bright floral dress with a white blazer, would have been more interesting the other way around
