Necklush Giveaway!

Once you get into scarves, it’s a tough to break away. I pretty much will wear a scarf all year around, except the days that would cause heat stroke if I did wear them. As much as I love scarves and any neck garment in general, finding interesting but not ‘crazy’ accessories can be a challenge. I first came across Necklush from Moosh in Indy, who was wearing one of their pieces at NYFW back in February. I really loved how the colorful screen printed cotton jersey strands wrapped together in a not scarf, not necklace, intricate but not fussy accessory.

I was excited when the lovely guys at Necklush sent the Winterberry Necklush Ultra to check out and style myself. After pawing it on someone else (I do that), it was nice to actually work it into how I would wear it. Of course it took me all of two seconds to mess up the strands, but I like how organic and unique an imperfect accessory is, otherwise it takes just a quick shake out to get the strands in order.  Here I decided to make the Necklush the star, by going with a simple outfit.

necklush2Heather crop top and sunglasses from Urban Outfitters • Corset waisted Era of Chaos jeans, with purple fringe heels by NYLA •  The bag is courtesy of Coach (and a sneak peek as to what’s coming for you next week) • Cuff from Market Publique • Ring from Wendy Brandes
(sorry about the pouty face, I was frustrated by the shadow!)

I like this necklush for it’s deep, rich color (red of course) which is a great accent to any outfit- from a quick trip to the grocery to a great accessory for an elegant night on the town. The color and the thickness with the right clothing can scream “Free Spirit” as loud as it can “Urban Hipster,” and that’s what I love about it. Get creative about it, and wear it any way you want for just about every day of the week.

LOVE THE NECKLUSH! I’m totally the same, I wear a scarf almost every day unless there’s a heat wave! (Then I just lie on it at the beach) Love the necklush made with the patterned jersey, it’s beautiful! I might have to start cheating on my scarves…

Oh my goodness! I have had a necklush sitting around in my etsy “favorites” for about 1.5 years. I too am a scarfie- Normally collecting vtg silk and wool challis and block printed cottons. Necklushes caught my eye for being so distinctive (I even tried to make one, and realized how IMPOSSIBLE it was to make the strands identical and seamless) This is such a no brainer! I love the Necklush! My favorite pick would be the Necklush ultra Oranges and Reds (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=33889182). It’s Perfect for my non-winters here in Houston, and the pallet would be amazing to spruce up my wardrobe.
