When I said ‘I need more accessories.’ I didn’t realize that would be the start of an accessories kick that would last a few weeks. Part acquiring new pieces, part digging them out of my already overstuffed closet… it’s been a whole new obsession. First I realized, I don’t have a black bag. No, seriously, I don’t. So what do I do? Find blue ones instead.
The large bag, we found in a large bin of randomness at Urban Ore in Berkeley, it’s quite a find, considering it’s the kind of place you pick up a salvaged toilet or a door… possibly an old sewing machine encrusted with cobwebs. Definitely a place for DIYers and home decor people, as we’re looking for home decor things now… but this vintage blue bag was sitting on top of the $2 bin and, wow, it’s perfect and in beautiful condition. The small bag came with the G-Star chambray dress sent over as a thank you. I love the plaid embroidery and bow on top…though I’m not quite sure what to keep in there yet, lipstick? Coins? It’s a cute little size, and fits well into larger bags, so I’m sure it’ll be put to use.
Just as pretty on the inside, in perfect condition…

Just blue and pretty, sort of gentle happy. Love it plain, love it with a pretty silk scarf oh so ’50’s, love it with a splash of silk flowers. Love summer bags that are only fun …

I like the cute little plaid bag…seems perfect if you just need to carry an ID, credit card, some $ and a lipstick. Plus it’s a conversation piece vs. carrying a plain wallet or wristlet.
