Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on yesterday’s post. I still am feeling like my outfits are a lot more relaxed, and not really that inspired to dress over the top up. But my lovely friend Carrie Hoehnen, who is an excellent photographer (and stylist too) and is also staying at my home for the week… offered to take outfit photos to help relive the outfit-post-funk. I swear to god, this woman is a miracle worker when it comes to taking portraits…she makes everyone and everything look great!
A few weeks I went down to Los Angeles to speak at Fashion Group International, Los Angeles social media conference, Macala gave me these jewelry accessories by Liz Larios as a ‘thank you’ for coming down. It was perfect timing as I was scouring the internet for something just like this, with crystals and loads of chains, something of a statement piece. The piece I’m wearing above is the Quartz Bib Spike Necklace the past few weeks, it’s been impossible to take it off. I love how it goes with almost everything in my wardrobe. Inspired by stones, shells and ‘natural findings’ each piece is made with plated metals, semi-precious stones and ‘usual objects’ to create something extraordinary.

I was eyeing the jewelry after seeing your earrings yesterday (and getting curious, as I’ve been itching for chain jewelry), and I really love the way it looks on a person more than the product photos- you really get a great sense of how they wear.
Needless to say, I can see why you can’t take them off!

yes… i resisted chain jewelry for some time…well not completely, but a bit. photographing jewelry is hard and carrie did a great job capturing the specialness of it.

I know you were saying that you don’t think that your looks have been blog-worthy lately, but I would like to (politely) disagree. I love this outfit, and I think its great when bloggers wear casual pieces that they would in everyday life (I want to see what you would wear if you weren’t worried about what the internet would say or think!). I also happen to think that this necklace is fantastic!
How pretty! It’s ethereal with a twist. I really like this look and the accessories are lovely.
GASP! i love your jewelry!!!!

Stunning outfit, I’m inspired.
Your hair looks really great! It has a free sophistication about it - love it! The jewels are lovely, and I like how they play off the nude colors - it makes them pop.

Wow they’re awesome with the gothic style but I think if we use it with material such as sterling silver or white gold jewelry it’ll looks more shinny and glamour for you.
The photography is beautiful here and so is your necklace. I feel like it would go with so much.
