State of Lace

First of all, I just want to say thank you to everyone’s kind thoughts about my grandmother. It really meant a lot to have your support. I just arrived back from Hawaii this morning, and am getting back to work. It was good to have the time to sort things out, but in the end I really missed work too. One day there will be balance!

It’s been a while since I posted an outfit,and recently I’ve even posted this same Joie Elvia Lace Blouse. To tell the truth, I love wearing this blouse. It was a gamble, because of it’s high neck line and wide sleeves, but I have to say when I wear it, it feels so right, even though it was a total spurge for me, the difference between something picked up from a fast fashion house and something a bit higher in quality really shows by the fifth wear. I’m not worried about sending to to the cleaners, or how it’s going to stretch out next time.

After being gone for a month, it was so nice to come home and have access to my entire wardrobe. The things I had in New York were great, but I stupidly forgot my AG Goldsign Lotus jeans. I’d been looking for the perfect pair of a mid-rise wide-legged jean, and came across these in a Gilt sale, and it was a no-brainer. Being stuck in the skinny jeans mentality, it was a bit of a challenge to really own the wide-legged trouser look, as it takes a while for an idea to manifest in personal style. I personally experience a slow boil when it comes to trying out new looks. That’s not a bad thing!

Wendy has been wearing these clear-framed Prada sunglasses that are totally covetable. I just had to get my own pair in black. I couldn’t find them online, but you can get them at the  Prada store. At $205, they aren’t too expensive, for good sunglasses anyway.
