I can’t believe it’s almost November! The weather here has been amazing. Like warmer than a San Francisco summer. Well, it has! Anyway, at lunch the other day, I noted that I’ve been wearing pants an awful lot lately. What happened to all those dresses? Some of it may be the eat, sleep, denim blog influence, looking at denim all day, wearing denim to test it out. It really grew on me. One of the jeans I’ve been loving lately aside from the trouser jean, is the boot cut. They’re comfortable, casual, and flattering to the leg. I just feel like taking a long stride in these.
It’s strange how I feel like I should be dressed up being in New York and all. And I have a bit. But at the same time, walking around as many miles as I have, I noticed not that many people wearing high heels out there. Many people have taken casual dressing to a new level. Casual, yet put together with certain elements. Here I’ve done it with a statement necklace by Norwegian Wood and a asymmetrical chiffon tank with so many ruffles! Maybe I’ll figure this out. One day.

I love the way you incorporated lovely fall colors like green and brown into your outfit. I can’t believe it’s going to be November soon either.
i’m just waiting for the colors to turn yellow!
Great neutral palette. What a beautiful portrait of nature’s colors!

I adore the color palette here, and there’s something so undeniably chic about this silhouette, especially with those heels!

so far so good… it’s actually warmer out than it was during san francisco summer!
Way to take everything my wardrobe doesn’t have, colors I don’t wear, and make me covet it.

I absolutely adore that necklace every time you wear it! I’ve been looking for big wooden earrings similar to that style. Any suggestions on where I can find some?

You go the figure to wear them, but the trouble with jeans is that they are so confortable that most people do not venture any further.

“Many people have taken casual dressing to a new level. Casual, yet put together with certain elements.” Man, that’s what I strive for every day here in Vancouver. It’s a casual city, and if you have to commute and take transit in the pouring rain, heels just won’t cut it. I love your outfit here!
You look great J - loving those jeans.

This outfit is one of my favorites that you have put together. Maybe I feel this way because I dress like you have in this post every single day when not dressed up to do somewhere.
When I was in NYC, I felt like I needed to be dressed up as well. There is just something about NYC that encourages a woman to think harder on what she is wearing when she is out in the city.

I love how you’ve paired the floaty top with the jeans and jacket; it’s really pretty but still perfectly good for lounging around in.
Love it!
