It’s December, and there’s no denying the gifting season. The past few days I’ve been wandering around the internet like a lost puppy looking for the right gifts for my family and friends. While some people are gift whizzes, I’m a gift dummy. Last year, I got someone a Netflix subscription that they never used. I know because Netflix notified me! How dare them… Luckily, my husband loves my gifts to him.
Yesterday I went to Saks Fifth Avenue for a holiday event, and also to get some ideas of what would make good gifts. Rebecca Minkoff had a table of all her holiday gifts, mostly revolving around technology. The woman who has gadgets, like a stylish studded iPhone case ($55) sure as heck beat the clunky plastic thing I have on right now.
An snake embossed iPad case ($125) for those on Santa’s nice list this year! My husband and I are debating on whether or not to get one… this might be too girly for him, but good if you’re going in with your siblings for a nice gift for your mom.
This year my husband really got into ties, more specifically, bow ties. I really loved these wool ties by Bentley Cravats. The ties are handmade in New York and very lush.
As I said on Tuesday, I can’t go shopping for other people without going shopping for myself. Is that self-centered? Maybe, but look at the sequins. Dazzle dazzle.

I loooooove buying gifts! This is my favorite time of year. That’s part of the reason why I do my big gift guide ( you might find some good gift ideas in there too!). But I also buy stuff for myself too, the sales are just too good to resist!

Those sequins and feathers are so incredible. I am such a girl…I literally gasped when I saw them. Nice picture-taking!
I also adore that leopard print case. For a very classic and conservative girl, I love to rock the leopard print…in very small doses.
