Everyone needs a vacation. I haven’t had a “real” vacation since 2007 when I went to Hawaii to visit my friend Carrie, and my Dad… they both lived in Honolulu at the time. Normally I took trips to Europe to explore cities, but those vacations are the kind you need vacations from because of all the running around. The good thing about places like Hawaii, it is entirely possible to lay on the beach and take naps for two weeks straight, and really accomplish something. Decompression. Seriously, it took three days of continuous vegging just to relax.
This year, I won’t be spending the holidays with my family in either Southern California or Hawaii, but going to Germany with my husband’s fam. But as this is my third cold winter in a row, the idea of taking a break this January or February in the tropics is sounding so appealing. Thank goodness for Resort collections. Believe it or not, now is the time to get good swimwear. Tory Burch has released her Resort Collection with rich colors, her signature orange with blue and fuchsia and a lots of gold. I loved the patterns, very African inspired.
I loved this look by Dina for Eye4Style…though methinks she’s going to the beach in San Francisco!
I went for a Mrs. Roper inspired look with a long tunic…
Not everything at Tory Burch was about hot vacations… They had stuff for winter too! Yay! I loved the plate of smores on a stick to welcome the bloggers. I ate two of them, and for the life of me could not figure out how to nibble at them gracefully. Thank goodness smores aren’t supposed to be graceful food.
Love the holiday racks with all the shimmer!
And the boots, I got a pair of Sorel snow boots, but these look so lush!
I’m kinda obsessed with this cuff…
There’s a Tory Burch Facebook contest going on right now to vote for your favorite resort look. Mine got kind a buried so I’m not expecting to win, but it’s fun to see what other bloggers did with the collection!

LOVE THAT TUNIC - she’s beautiful.
Lately, I’m torturing myself with photos of beachy, dreamy resort wear and this one is especially painful…love your styling of the indigo dress and that bag. oh that bag is lovely!
thanks for posting!

My boyfriend recently lured me to the East Coast from Wisconsin with the bait that Winters are warmer here… not really! Would love to escape to the beach for Christmas. We’ve done that the past two years but are going to cold CT this time around! Oh well
Great looks!
