Do you have your gifts all picked out? Neither do I. But this year, the holidays are a lot more fun. It’s in the air… ooh maybe it’s just the cold. Anyway, earlier this week, I was invited to have breakfast at Tiffany’s (post coming soon)… and didn’t really know what to wear…dress up like Holly Golightly? It all sounds good, but in reality, it’s freezing out, and I didn’t stay up all night. Getting dressed up for the holidays doesn’t mean getting dolled up in an ugly Christmas sweater…it can be as simple as wearing lace, metallics and soft textures. Lately I’ve been feeling sheer cream colors, browns and blacks. Maybe color will come back, but for now, it’s all about playing with texture.
I met up again with Monica to take outfit photos, it’s always so nice because it’s a perfect excuse to sit down chat and have a cupcake at the Little Cupcake Bakeshop. I love the atmosphere there, with all the cakes and the beautiful Christmas tree. I have total tree envy as we’re not doing our own tree this year, because we’re leaving for Germany next week!

I’ve never been to the Cupcake Bakeshop.. Did you go to the one in NYC or Brooklyn. Looks yummy. I also love the white lace top! I have this white lace dress I got off of ebay, yet to wear.. cause I’m not sure if it’s cool or cheesy. It’s short with a drop waist, very 20’s look, but circa 80’s. I think I just need to go for it!
Thanks for the inspiration!

The picture of you in front of the grand tree is divine. What a beautiful smile. It made me smile. Nice boots. I can’t believe it’s warm enough in New York to wear your coat undone. I have to visit soon.

Your bag is to die! LOVE LOVE LOVE… I’ve been picturing embroidered, floral printed, and heavy textured clutches in my mind for spring…. hope they’re a hit
. There’s something about holding them next to a lush solid.
