A couple of days ago, I had my first Anna sighting at Alexander Wang. I tried to get a shot of her, but it was blurry… because I was too scared! Who knew when or even if, the opportunity rise again… But low and behold, today as I was sending emails frantically on my iPhone behind the scenes at Milk Studios, I look up and two inches away from me is that unmistakable lush hair wearing a long animal print fur coat. I’m in the presence of Anna yet again!
Since we were both going into the show, now was the time to really get the shot. Still afraid from the death-stare at Alexander Wang, I circled the periphery. Kind of nervous, and feeling like a little kid meeting a new stranger. You know how they like to hide, but make themselves known. Ann from Holier Than Now, talked me into going for it. I wanted to ask Anna a real question, but I’m not there yet. So I just walked right up to her…
Me: “Can please take your photo?”
Anna: “Sure.”
She posed with a smile, I fumbled, so this photo came two seconds later. I love it actually… she has a more real expression.
I shook like a leaf for a bit, but proud I had the yayas to walk up to Anna Wintour.
After the show on the way out, she smiled at me.

My friend and I work in the Conde Nast building and see her often, however, my friend is the one with the frightening story. She was on the elevator with Anna and all of sudden, Anna’s shoe gets stuck in the crack of the elevator. Was she suppose to just sit there and do nothing? Nope. She got on her knees and before she knew it, was pulling at Anna Wintour’s shoe! After all was said and done, she half put the shoe back on Anna’s foot and called it a day. Isn’t that hilarious?
oh my! did she help anna in a good Samaritan way or in a ‘don’t just stand there’ kind of way?
She’s a good person so I think it was in a good Samaritan type of way. Plus, I’d be scared to but shunned forever if I didn’t help out..!

Wow! A brush with celebrity!! The closest I have come to someone famous was attending a wedding with Sissie Spacek. Her daughter was a bride’s maid. I love this story! That’s amazing. It reminds me of my friend who was so excited because she went to Fashion Week and saw Anna Wintour “up close”. Haha! You managed to get a soft picture of her: she usually looks more severe. Very nice! And I knew she would be cool. Most of the time if you just ask politely as you did, people are happy to oblige.
