Lulu Frost, A Heritage of Estate Jewelry

by jennine on March 30, 2011

lulu frost necklace

I must have accessories on the brain lately… but who can get enough of them when there are so many wonderful designers out there! Lulu Frost is one of those designers who can take vintage inspiration and turn it into something wonderful and exotic. From New York, Lisa Salzer founded this brand in 2004. Since coming from a family who has been in the estate jewelry business for generations, you can see in her work the keen eye for what makes a great piece.

The first time I saw one of her pieces randomly on Bleecker Street, was this porcupine crystal necklace, I almost died… And again upon randomly finding this pop-up showroom on my way to work one morning. Parrots, estate gems, and chains galore, seeing all the gems together felt like visiting a fairy godmother from the land of Oz. One day! Until then, we’ll just have to click our heels.

LOVE Lulu Frost! I cherish my bracelet I got from Gilt! I feel so fortunate just to have one of their pieces, but I definitely wouldn’t mind adding to the collection. ;)

This is great stuff Jennine! The size is big enough to have a little “pow” factor and the mix of colors is stunning.

Great find.
