Today’s Attire: Green Button Up and Pleats

by jennine on April 5, 2011

green on green

A few weeks ago, we talked about spotting army green around downtown… I’ve always been a fan of the color, and when I saw this olive green silk blythe blouse at J Crew, it was love at first sight. Actually, I can pretty much accredit this blouse for my resurgence of button up obsession. It’s the perfect color that goes with everything… even another shade of green. I think it was on Man Repeller that I saw the pleated skirts at American Apparel, being as there are three stores within a 10 block radius, you’d think I would have run down to the store, but no… not so much. It took ages, and I tried on the pleated maxi that Leandra has, and didn’t fall in love. What I did fall in love was the midi mini pleat skirts, so much I got three. Woops. Anyway, what can a girl do? Except hope they come out in more colors.

I love the skirt! I’ve been avoiding American Apparel for a year or so now but I might have to check back in…

Those shoes are adorable! For some reason, they remind me of the Wizard of Oz and Dorothy’s red slippers… except they’re gold!

LOVE the color of this skirt! I saw your belt on Instagram and swooned! And now seeing the whole outfit together, it’s just divine!

I think the other skirts are a little bit longer no? I think the mini pleats are cute, and knowing AA, they’ll probably come out in a billion colors soon!

Oh yeah, the other skirts are maxi’s this is a midi… i like the shorter length as it goes better with my aesthetic. thank god there is something else besides a mini, i couldn’t stand my thighs!

The colors of this outfit are stunnig! I am simply in love with that belt and the gold shoes. I’ve been rediscovering the beauty of the button up style shirt myself; I pulled out a “tried and true” favorite that I bought as a teenager and am having fun discovering new ways to wear it. :)

LOVE that skirt! The color, the pleats, the length, everything — it is so perfect. Awesome belt too — I have a thing for feathers. I even have a tattoo of one, though it is horribly done. :/ Ah well!

Every time I stop by your blog I want to go to NY more and more! You look great. xx
