Last week, LA based designer, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent opened up a New York boutique just down the street. Oh yah! I love the tribal Aztecan patterns and 70′s meets modern day collections Cynthia Vincent produces. It’s always such a treat and now they’re in the neighborhood.
I’ve been delving, graduating, perhaps? Into the world of contemporary fashion these days, and there are a few brands that make unique pieces that fall into a somewhat affordable price point. Enough to make you think before purchasing, but not so much it kills your bank balance. I really love the story and the wearable nature of her collections, and the store is like visiting the a stylish friend’s studio apartment, it’s very cozy and full of little trinkets, you almost want to have a cup of coffee and chat with the sales people (I wouldn’t actually try it, they may kick me out! But hey, it’s happened before.) Right now, you can get a lovely tribal print maxi dress, and some great large totes, perfect for summer. Right now I have my eye on the strappy wedges, a woman can never have enough shoes!
The Show Room…
Believe it or not, we happened to check in on their upcoming collection in the fall (to start making the wish lists now!) Following the theme of tribal prints and Central American motifs, many of the pieces had a cool sophistication about them with a spritited twist. Again, I loved the bags and shoes as I’m on the hunt for the perfect, affordable bag at the moment, the price points for the bags are around $275-$495 which for a bag that will last a few years, a pretty good investment. I loved the embroidered satchel the most, as well as the prints in the clothing, it’s going to be a fun season for mixing and matching!

Twelfth Street is one of my favorite contemporary brands! I have a pair of mini-wedges from last spring, but I’m still kicking myself for missing out on the Target shoe collab.
