Coveting the Classic Prints of M Missoni AW11

Whether they’re hot or not… Missoni prints are some of my favorite prints and knits of all time… ever… They are classics, and every time, I always drool over the way the rich texture and color pallets. Since launching their contemporary brand, M Missoni in 1998, the Missoni family kept an integral part in developing the knits and prints for the less expensive line. It was so exciting when, last week I was able to go and visit the show room to get an up close and personal view of the Fall Collection.

The second I walked into the room, I knew I was in heaven. Racks and racks of gorgeous M Missoni, knits, silks and their new accessories collections with bags and shoes. I adored the homage to the 70′s with tie neck blouses and high waisted short shorts, and knit jumpsuits (wish they photographed well, but damn, they are HOT). My favorite was a pair of silk shorts with a geometric print. I die. And will have to do some serious leg work to wear them next fall. The bags were also delightful, again with contemporary designer bags, they run less than $1k, which is pretty great, and they have sturdy leather, detailed hardware and the classic Missoni space dyed cotton lining. Such a nice touch.  Anyway… I spent a good hour photographing all the minute details, so here we go!
