For the longest time I’ve wanted a beautiful classic white button down blouse. But like with all things, when you go with the classics, getting the perfect shirt is imperative else you’ll end up sending the wrong message. What do I mean? You can get a white shirt anywhere. I’ve gotten white button down shirts on sale at Banana Republic, and looked great, but didn’t quite fit right, or the shirt just looked like I was wearing a white shirt.
A while back I bought the Equipment Nixie Blouse, and fell in love with the way the silk felt and how it was so comfortable. Equipment Signature Blouse had been on my mind for a while, but the $200 price tag was too steep. After experimenting with cheaper silk blouses, I realized that adding up all the cheap silk blouses I almost loved ended up being more expensive than the one I really loved… so I took the plunge and got the Equipment Signature Blouse in bright white. When it came yesterday, I knew it was the perfect blouse! It just feels luxurious and comfortable, and certainly worth the investment.
Here I’m channeling a 21st century Katherine Hepburn with the wide legged trousers. She’s my hero.
