Two things I’ve been loving lately, button down shirts and shift dresses. Well, there are lots of things to love, but throwing on a shift dress has been the perfect standby all summer long. With fall right around the corner, this is the time for transitional dressing. Fall is my absolute favorite of the seasons. My two favorite holidays -Halloween and Thanksgiving- are both in Fall, also, it’s the season that feels like you ease into. There’s also all those beautiful clothes you can wear, the boots, the wool coats, layering with sweaters. The crisp air (but not cold!) and the leaves. I love it.
Anywho, not to chomp at the bit… I’ve taken to layering up my summer pieces in ways that are more transitional. The red collared shirt, underneath the shift dress… cool enough to wear, but still give a nod to the upcoming season. Are you getting excited for fall??

The bag looks great!
You look preettyyy… *-* Oh how I wish Barcelona’s weather would allow such outfits! :S I’m sweating all day long no matter what I wear… So most of the time I just choose to stay in and daydream about Fall and its fallen leaves, its crisp white shirts layered under chunky earth-toned sweaters, its looong and flowy coats… *sigh* But anyway! As I said, you look absolutely fabulous! I loove the red & snake print combination.

I have been following your blog for a little bit now, and I just have to say I L-O-V-E it! You have such a unique sense of personal style, and I am always excited to stop by and see what you are up too:)
You look sweet!
I get so jealous every autumn when folks north of the Mason Dixon get to start transitioning and I have to wait until about mid-October for things to finally cool off. I suppose I should count my blessings that I don’t get snowmageddons, but darnit, this makes me want to layer!

What a great combo! I’ve got a herringbone skirt as part of a suit; I should break it out and wear with a bright color like red or orange.
And I’m torn about the onset of fall. I like the cooler weather, but there’s something a bit melancholy about seeing summer fade away. Maybe it’s just me?
