Benefit Cosmetics Gifts for For Under $40

Benefit Cosmetics Holiday Gifts!

Makeup kits make great gifts for the ladies. Even if they don’t wear makeup all the time, or are not makeup fanatics, a nice makeup kit comes in handy every now and again. When I was younger, and very much in the drugstore range (it used to be a lot cheaper, nowadays, it’s only marginally cheaper). I absolutely loved getting an eyeshadow pallet or a lipstick set as a gift. Well, I still do.

Benefit Cosmetics has a great series of gifts this season, and they sent it over for me to check out! As always, I love their fun quirky packaging, and the quality of their eyeshadow and mascara is fantastic, and lipgloss really sheer and fresh. So it was fun to try it for myself and report back to you on how it did!

I’m glam therefore I am… ($36)

This is the night out on the town gift! It comes with an eyeshadow quad, blusher, BadGal mascara, Girl Meets Pearl illuminzer and a lipgloss. The eyeshadows have a range of very light pink, to lilacs and grey, with a small amount of shimmer. The lipgloss will add a bit of shine to your lips! It wore really nicely!

Perfect for: Your fair skinned friends. I loved the way the shadow went on (and loved the instructions that come in the box), but with my olive complexion and dark eyes, I found that it was a bit light for me. I would certainly give this to my blondie friends, whose complexions would compliment the palletes. Of course I love the BadGal lash, and the Girl Meets Pearl, which are fantastic for all skin colors.

Ticket to glossytown ($24)

I will always love more lipgloss. Always. You know why? Because, I always lose my glosses, they always end up in my bags, pockets, drawers, and there is no way for me to hang on to a particular lipstick, so my strategy is to stock all my usual lippie stash (not to be confused with mustache!) points. Ticket to glossytown is a fantastic set of gloss that shimmers just enough!

Perfect for: Gloss addicts, and women who like more natural makeup. Young ladies, teens & tweens.  If your friend is a red lipstick fiend, this may not get her going. But if you have a girly girl niece who’s not quite old enough to wear makeup, but likes to feel grown up, this is a good set for her, as the color is very very subtle.

Crescent Row Limited Edition Perfume Set ($36)

Here’s a set of four perfumes. I am a big fan of Maybe Baby, and was looking forward to checking this out. However, I felt the perfumes all smelled very much alike, very sweet, and didn’t stay on for very long. While I liked the packaging, I felt it was more of a toy perfume set, as most women may be more particular about what perfume they wear. I personally wouldn’t get a perfume gift for a woman unless I knew she would like it, like how my Mom only wears Chanel No. 5, or my Gran wore Opium.

Perfect for: Even though I wouldn’t wear this myself, the perfumes were cute. If you have a tween or teen niece or daughter who again, loves the idea of makeup this would be great for her. The perfumes don’t linger forever, and the set of bottles will look lovely on her wardrobe.

I love the Benefit Glam Palette, such a nice array of products, but I think the colors are too cool for me. Proving that I’m not thinking of gifts, but only of myself:)

I love it when Benefit does their cosmetic package kit things. Always so wonderfully done. The packaging is beautiful as always.

Actually, I think the light colors look great on you! Very young and fresh.

What a great idea. I would never have thought of a make-up kit but its a perfect Christmas gift. Cosmetics is one of those things I don’t love to spend money on so getting it as a gift would be ideal.

I know this post is about makeup but I couldn’t take my eyes off your necklace. Love it!
