Share your 70′s Inspriation & Win a Pair of MiH Jeans

70's denim

As a child of the 70′s I have a special love for the fabled decade. Though my memories of it usually involve Sesame Street and sitting in the back seat of my parent’s 74 Vega, my mother’s long black hair and Guatemalan sweater coat. Oh, and those dark green carpets everyone seemed to have. Yuck! I almost forgot about that.  I spent a lot of time on the floor Fat Albert. It was a thing.

Over at Eat, Sleep, Denim, we’re hosting a Giveaway with MiH Jeans for Shopbop.com… It’s simple, find your 70′s style inspiration, then…

  1. Like Eat, Sleep, Denim on Facebook
  2. Like Shopbop on Facebook
  3. Upload a photo of your 70′s style inspiration (it doesn’t have to be of you) to ESD’s Facebook page and tag “ShopbopMiH” in the caption. (I’d also love a brief description of your look!)

For more chances to win, stop by Wit & Whimsy, Cheetah Is The New Black, Sweet Caroline In The City and Style & Pepper and enter there as well! Good luck!

Oh … and here’s my favorite 70′s style icon… Stevie Nicks…

I guess I was too you to remember fashion or my mom was dressing me at that time so I had no say in what to wear. Unfortunately, I was a teen in the 80s so that where my heart lies

Stevie Nicks is my favourite, too. I wanted to be her when I grew up.

I wouldn’t pay more than $50 full-price for a pair of jeans. Lots of companies these days make great pairs of jeans for less than $50. I buy my jeans from Old Navy, which costs less than $40 full-price and $15 on sale. Even Levi’s carries jeans for less than $40 on sale. People who say you can’t find top quality jeans for less than $100 obviously don’t know how to shop. So-called “Premium Jeans” that cost well over $100 are not any better than cheaper ones. You usually only pay for the brand and not necessarily the quality.

I love the 70′s style and I’ve seen people wear it, but I’ve never met anyone bold or stylish enough to wear it and then actually pull it off like she did here.
