Green for Spring

Where is Winter? Oh, it’s in Seattle. While part of me is happy not to have to jump over slushy puddles this season, part of me is sad to miss the snow. But, onwards and upwards! Now that it’s January, all the shops are gearing up for Spring. It seems so far away, but yet why not get a dose of Spring Fever a bit early (I love the euphoria). Lately, I’ve been eyeing a lot of green. Olive, emerald, lime.. you name it. It’s such a comforting color.

For the last installment of the Luisa Via Roma Stylelab posts.. this was dress was unexpectedly fun two wear. Granted in today’s internet ready culture, picking out a more conservative day dress while others were going wild was a gamble. But the second I tried on the Jil Sander stretch cotton dress, it was love and comfort all at once. The dress has a lot of structure, but at the same time the stretch is just so comfortable, it’s like wearing a muumuu but totally work ready. Here I paired it with Christian Loubotin heels, which believe it or not, I’ve never tried on before. I can’t say they’re the most comfortable, but they are indeed very sweet with the perfect rounded toe and the tiger print. The accessories were the Proenza Schouler clutch with an Erickson Beamon cuff… Erickson Beamon is a label whose put on the most extravagant presentations at fashion week, to match it’s opulent designs. The cuff was leather lined, so it wore like a piece of clothing, only much, much more glamourous.

Wearing: Dress: Jil Sander • Shoes: Christian Louboutin • Bag: Proenza Schouler • Cuff: Erickson Beamon (note, none of these belong to me).

Ooh, lovely dress, so pretty. And the heels add a grown up touch. I’m wondering where winter is, too. My birthday was on the 17th and it rained! Usually it is a blizzard and bone chilling cold on my birthday; I have never seen rain in the middle of January before.

Beautiful green, works great on you. Shame to read that about the Louboutins, I always expected them to be super comfy and justify their astronomic price tag, but there you go, live and learn. You have had an ongoing love with green which actually inspired to seek for the perfect green jeans, and finally i did find them ;) xxx

You look fantastic- something about that emerald green colour is so classic, sophisticated and decidedly fresh. I can’t even talk about the PS1 clutch I’m so in love…
