3 Fantastic Facial Firming Products

I am a beauty junky. When it comes to beauty products my personal poison revolves around skin care, potions, serums, peels, cremes, masques, if it’s out there, I want to try it. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with firming products. Not that my skin is sagging, but it’s not as taut as it used to be, therefore it’s become the object of my neurotic obsession. That and trying to get the perfect smoky eye.

The thing about firming products is that they don’t make drastic changes, the way they work is more subtle. You’ll notice a bit more plumpness in the skin’s texture, or you won’t wake up with as puffy a face. That’s the kind of difference you’ll notice. I have only been using them for about a year, so I can say the velocity of my neurosis has slowed down since I started using them. There are a lot of products that don’t really make a difference, but these three have become my favorites, and have become a part of my regular skin care routine.

3 Facial Firming Products

StriVectin-SD Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles: Strivectin-SD is a product originally invented to help with stretchmarks. They have a lot of firming products for neck and, for other areas. Last year I had tried just about every product on the market to help reduce the puffiness, and either I came to accept my puffy eyes, or this product helped. I pretty much use this exclusively over the past year. The price may seem high at $69, but you really only need to apply the size of a grain of rice twice a day.  It’s lasted 6 months for each tube, so I would day it’s a good deal.

Clarins Double Serum Generation 6: Clarins has become my go-to brand for skincare lately. I have been a fan of their day creams and night creams, so when I ran out of my last serum, I decided to give this one a whirl. Clarins uses plant extracts for their product, and Generation 6 uses anti-aging plant extracts  Marula, London Rocket and Centella Asiatica. I don’t know what any of those do, but using three pumps a day added a plumpness to my skin. I would have to say that I would probably try something else when this runs out, but I would recommend it.

Algenist Firming & Lifting Intensive Mask: Every Sunday night I like to do a special beauty routine, exfoliate and wear a masque, this has been in my rotation for about a year, and I really like it. Algenist uses alguronic acid and ProPeptide3 in their products. It’s marketed as a science based product, and generally, I’ve been satisfied with their anti-aging lines. This gel masque is great to put on, and it won’t scare the other people in the house since it’s a clear masque. There is a notable difference in the morning, but I would have to say you would have to use 2-3 times a week (like it instructs) but I honestly don’t have the time to do all of that, but it works well.

So have you tried firming products? Please let me know which ones you like!

LOVE these products. I’ve actually used all three of them in the past and they’re really really fabulous. My favorite is the ALgenist Firming & Lifting Intensive Mask. I make sure I always have it in stock ;)

About four months ago, I began to use Peter Thomas Roth firming products for eyes and face and I really like these products alot. Particularly the one for under eyes…it is amazing. But it is always good to know about other brands. Thanks for the information!

Oh I love PTR! Actually I have the exfoliating peel pads, which are gentler than the scrubs, and love them. Good to know about their firming products, I’ll have to try them next!

I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but face oils really firm my skin. My first experience was with Ren Omega 3 oils paired with their Frankincense night cream. Pricey, but worth it. I tried the sample kit first, then splurged on the full size oil. The oil works best when used in conjunction with the cream. Not sure how the firming action happened, but it did. Really weird! Since then, I’ve branched out to other oils- Suki is a good one- and I’ve just really discovered a whole other world of skincare. Kind of amazing. Highly recommend!

oOoOo…i have always wanted to try the strivectin! i am currently obsessed with all things anti-aging. i’ve been using an algenist anti-aging moisturizer sample and i LOVE it…just can’t really afford it for every day use. =( i was also just recently sent freeze 24-7 products and have to say i am in LOVE with their eye creams/anti-wrinkle serums but the neck lifting/firming cream doesn’t work quite as well. hmmmm, what else can i share? oh, tretinoin cream (retin-a) and 10% glycolic wash have made a HUGE difference in my skin. thanks for sharing…i am always looking for the fountain of youth. =)
