Send Your Eye Bags Packing

Even Jennine gets eyebags...

Even Jennine gets puffy eyes...

Therapy and self-help books help you deal with your emotional baggage, but what about the luggage under your eyes? Whether they’re caused by allergies, lack of sleep, crying, soy sauce or genetics, puffy eyes are the bane of my my beauty existence.

I’m usually disappointed or underwhelmed by eye creams, gels etc. The claims/promises (diminishes undereye circles! reduces puffiness! diffuses fine lines) turn out to be bogus and the skin under my eyes feels irritated and stingey. Sigh. Of course, temptation and curiosity get the best of me and I always end up trying something new.

I’ve been using the Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller by Garnier Nutritioniste ($12.99 at Walgreens) for over a month now and am super pleased with the results. First of all, I love the delivery system- the caffeine-infused gel is dispensed via a cool metal roller ball. I’m a sucker for all forms of gadgetry and this one really does live up to its promise of keeping my bags at bay and lightening up dark circles (to be fair, my circles aren’t so bad). Plus, it feels really good — like a stimulating mini massage!

The claims:

  • Caffeine - Targets puffiness & diminishes dark circles
  • Pro-Vitamin B5 - Refreshes & hydrates the delicate eye area
  • Gently stimulate micro-circulation around eye area to decongest excess fluid for diminished dark circles and puffiness.

Bonus: it doesn’t burn or irritate my skin. This is a big deal, since the skin around my eyes is ridiculously sensitive and reactive.

xx Kezia

Sounds magnificent! I definitely want to try it. Is it available in the states already?
