It looks sunny, and quite possibly warm out…but these pictures lie, they lie! It’s below freezing. Lately it’s been hard getting outfit posts. Not that I don’t get dressed… I do… and boy do I! But with the cold, going outdoors without several layers is a bit of a challenge, I get about 10 minutes before hypothermia sets in and there is just no place indoors I like enough to share with you. So here I am, with a backlog of outfits that one day I’ll be able to share. Luckily, my husband gave me a hand to get some pictures done, because me and the remote need about 30 minutes to get set up with a decent shot, and by then, I would have lost a finger, or possibly a toe. Today, I just had to show you one of my recent finds is a hand knit popcorn sweater by Rebecca Taylor. It’s not just that I like to say popcorn sweater and not mean popcorn ON my sweater…because there are a lot of days where there is popcorn on my sweater.
I’ve just been living in chunky knits with lightweight layers underneath. It keeps the bulkiness down and still keeps warm. Here I’m wearing a gauzy cotton v-neck underneath with a bobble chain necklace and a simple pair of skinny jeans, and a surprisingly warm pair of faux-shearling wedges that in the wake of purchasing these crazy snow boots seem to be quite a reasonable for walking around snowy sidewalks without feeling like an Innuit… not that there is anything wrong with that… it’s just that I’m not an Innuit. Popcorn Sweater : Rebeca Taylor • V-neck sweater : Inhabit NY • Jeans : G-Star • Wool Beret : Nordstroms • Sunglasses : Target • Faux Shearling Wedges : Some place in Seoul.
